Dr. Aitana Duran

General Dentist

Every step explained before it happens.

Dr. Duran sees children, teens and adults. She puts a young patient at ease by showing each instrument first, and she goes over prevention with parents in plain words.

Away from the practice she hikes local trails and mentors dental students who shadow at Lapis.

How Dr. Duran works

I tell you, or your child, what I'm about to do before I do it, and I stop when you ask. I spend time with parents on prevention so the next visit is shorter. Decisions are made together, and I explain the options and the cost first.

Outside the office

Aitana hikes the trails around Fairfield County, tries new restaurants and reads whenever she can.

Areas of focus

  • Preventive care

Sealants, fluoride and early checks for children and adults.

  • Gentle visits

A first visit that starts with showing the instruments and the chair.

  • Growth checks

Watching how a child's teeth and jaw are coming in at each checkup, and telling you when to see an orthodontist.
